That was my question. I'm a Vietnam Vet and wonder how I would find out about my eligibility for education… need a new trade…
See the post I made to George about getting funding for new training
Have been out of the USMC since August of 2001. Am I still eligible to use my GI Bill?
there is usually a 10 window attached to it so you need to start using it ASAP
You have a year to get started which then you’ll reach your delimitated date. Time frame in which to use your GI Bill after ETS day You can then apply for an extension and depending on the circumstances you may be granted more time.
GI bills generally have a 10 year window. I think yours past by a few years. What you can do though is talk with your VA rep and they can access tuition funds through the Unemployment office in their WorkForce programs that pay for schooling, generally vocational training which would serve you better to get back to work in a new field
I am the child of a retiree……..am I eligible?
